Soft Services Trainer

Role Purpose

The Soft Services Trainer will be responsible for designing, delivering, and evaluating training programs to enhance the skills of staff in housekeeping, pantry, pest control, front office, security, and other soft services. The role ensures that all employees are trained to deliver services in line with ISS standards, client expectations, and statutory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct training needs assessments for soft services staff across multiple sites.
  • Design and deliver training modules (classroom, on-the-job, and practical) covering:
  • Housekeeping techniques & cleaning standards
  • Guest relations & front office etiquette
  • Grooming & customer service skills
  • Safety, hygiene, and compliance requirements
  • Develop training material, SOPs, and skill handbooks.
  • Implement refresher training programs to maintain service quality.
  • Evaluate training effectiveness through assessments, feedback, and audits.
  • Maintain training records as per ISS and client requirements.
  • Collaborate with site managers and supervisors to ensure smooth adoption of training outcomes.
  • Support in building a culture of continuous learning and service excellence.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong knowledge of soft services operations (housekeeping, pantry, guest relations, security).
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to engage with employees at all levels and build confidence.
  • Proficiency in MS Office; exposure to LMS/e-learning tools preferred.
  • Strong organizational and reporting skills.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Graduate in Hospitality / Hotel Management / Facilities Management or equivalent.
  • 5–8 years of experience in soft services operations, with at least 2–3 years in a training role.
  • Experience in corporate, facility management, or hospitality industry is highly desirable.
  • Certification in training/facilitation will be an added advantage.
