1. Fire & Safety Officer should schedule, execute and oversee organization’s employee, Vendor staffs, Service partner safety at work. Their prime responsibility is to ensure that the company complies and adheres to Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) as per respective country/state regulations and statutory requirements.
2. The safety officer will be responsible for ensuring safe work environment and prevent any injuries, incidents and accidents inside work environment.
3. Also, must adopt advanced technologies on fire & safety aspects as and when required.
4. Advise and train site team staff on various Fire & safety -related practices & procedures.
5. Review existing / testing the Safety equipment’s in coordination with AMC Vendors – Internal & External.
6. The Fire & Safety officer must have hands on experience on below listed system(Not limited to these) and oversee/coordinate these systems with the respective site teams/Vendors. (a). Fire hydrant and suppression system. (b). Fire alarm and PA system. (c). Checking the functionality of all fire protection systems once a week. (d). Handling and approving Hot and cold work permits e. Checking safety harness healthiness & Ladder inspections. (f). Upkeep and update of Fire exit route, and fire escape plans. (g). Overall premises upkeep. (h). Safe Material handling practices (i). Data centres, Network rooms, server rooms, engineering labs on safety aspects
7. Liaise with site team & government officials during the fire & safety inspection and external audits.
8. Identify hazards and potential emergencies & advice on mitigation (Control) measures.
9. Maintain records of (a). HSE site induction. (b). Internal/External trainings. (c). O&M trainings. (d). Internal/External audit records. (e). Permit to work. (f). LOTO records. (g). First aid register. (h). PPEs records. (i). HIRA registers.
10. Periodically review & monitor records of Air, Water, Waste, Noise shared by vendors.
11. Prepare Daily, Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly & Yearly reports as per site requirements.
12. Do a periodical gap analysis on safety at work aspects.
13. Prepare and Record reports on Near misses/ Incidents/Accidents/ and Property damages.
14. Critical thinker and problem-solving skills.
15. Conducting regular TOOLBOX meetings for all the workers at site.
16. Work permit, Weekly/ monthly inspection reports preparing.
17. Conduct training & awareness programs on regular basis relevant to site activities.
18. Must be able to coordinate minor project works with vendors on HSE aspects.
19. Coordinate with EV vendors on upkeep and maintenance of EV charging stations on HSE aspects.
Educational Qualification:
Candidate must have a Diploma in Fire & Safety, trained on first aid, CPR, BLS. Must have basic awareness on Scaffolding, Confined Space, Work @ height, Hot works, Cold works, Hydro testing, Chemical safety, Pneumatic testing & Electrical safety.
Experience required:
The candidate must have minimum experience of 6 to 8 years in the field of safety, managing the basic healthiness & record keeping of Firefighting equipment, Fire alarm system, PA, PTW, SOPs.
